Goals and Highlights

A goal of the College Avenue Compact is to establish a college-going culture in all Collaborative schools – elementary, middle, and high school.


Some students may prefer another pathway to SDSU and take advantage of:

San Diego City College Connect.


 

Collaborative students and parents will have multiple opportunities to visit the SDSU an SDCC campuses, beginning at elementary school.


Students who maintain eligibility will be honored at special recognition assemblies and events.

 

 

High School College Avenue Compact Benchmarks:

Beginning with Class of 2011:

ck Enroll by 9th grade at Hoover High
ck Attain a 3.0 "a-g" GPA (at time of SDSU application and graduation)
ck Complete all "a-g" course requirements with grade C or better
ck Satisfy the ELM (Entry Level Math Test)
ck Satisfy the EPT (English Placement Test)
ck Take the SAT Reasoning or ACT exam
ck Pass the CAHSEE
ck Graduate from Hoover High
